Alamosa Wine
Viognier 2010 Tio Pancho
This is a rich, luscious Viognier with subtle oak nuances made with fruit from our estate vineyard. The tropical fruit, and white peach fruity notes are punctuated with a long and silky finish. Try with tuna or salmon or pair with Asian fare. It is a fine accompaniment to Gruyere cheese and makes fresh Gulf oysters or shrimp sing!

A stunning wine with Apricots, honeydew, pineapple. It’s aromatic with a luscious mouthfeel, a long finish and wonderful balance. Texacaia 2010
Texacaia is our "Super Texan" blend! Pronounced: Tex-uh-ki-ya The spectacular 2010 vintage contains 64% Sangiovese, 25% Tannat and 11% Petit Verdot. Flavors of dark cherry, wood and violets, supple tannins and nice spicy finish. Great with a variety of foods…true to Sangiovese’s versatility, but try with Italian dishes with tomato and meat sauces or smoked pork with mushrooms.

2010 El Guapo has 75%Tempranillo, 20% Graciano and 5% Garnacha. 100% Estate grown. Blueberries, juniper, chocolate and leather with rich fruit, supple tannins, subtle oak and balanced acidity. This is our most talked-about wine, written up in Wine Spectator, Gourmet, Saveur and others. Serve it with a grilled steak and portabellas, a rack of lamb, beef tenderloin or game. Follow up with a rich dark chocolate dessert and continue with the El Guapo for a perfect match.

Graciano 2010
The 2010 Graciano is the first of this varietal produced in Texas, and another "first" for Alamosa Wine Cellars. This Spanish grape produces rich flavors of chocolate and cherries...chocolate dipped cherries! This is a dry wine with supple tannins and a long finish. Drink with a peppery steak or lamb. Also nice with cured or smoked meats. OR the quintessential Texas pairing...dry-rub barbecue brisket.
Syrah
Syrah from our home vineyard, continues to prove that Rhone varieties rule in the Hill Country. This is a ‘peppery’ version with rich fruit and spicy nose, full bodied structure and lingering finish. Serve with a steak or lamb or un-sauced barbecue brisket.

Our Rhone Red blend from Cherokee Creek’s High Valley Block. This wine contains all the Rhone reds: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault along with a dab of Viognier. Rich dark fruit, full tannins and smooth, lingering finish make this wonderful blend perfect for lamb, venison or beef. This is a unique blend for Texas but reminiscent of the wines from the south of France. Steven Krueger, Sommelier says: “…It is the old-fashioned, rustic, soulful style similar to …Chateauneuf du Pape. …a Texas wine, through and through”.

This is a Tavel-style dry rose' with flavors of watermelon, raspberry and cranberry. The components, Mourvedre and Cinsault, are grown on a neaby hilltop at Cherokee Creek Vineyards. Serve this lovely rose chilled with appetizers, fruit and cheese or make it the star of your holiday table with it's cranberry color and zesty flavors. Perfect with Turkey dinner!

A slightly sweet table wine made with Orange Muscat for a citrusy nose with good acidity and delightfully sweet finish. Juicy-Fruity! Try with Thai food or a spicy Barbecue sauce. It’s great for patio sipping or appetizers and for your “sweet wine” friends.

This port was made with several lots of wines reserved for our port program from three different vintages of Sangiovese, Grenache and Mourvedre. The sweetness level is more typical of ports and it was fortified with the same fine brandy as our vintage port. Nice with chocolate desserts or to sip after dinner with a cigar.

Our first Port ! made with 100% Grenache from Mason County and fortified with fine brandy, this lovely Port is only slightly sweet. It has dark berry and spicy flavors and ruby color. Wonderful with English Stilton or dark chocolate

Our first Late Harvest wine, this premium port is made from some of our most prized fruit: Syrah, Tempranillo and Sangiovese. It has a lot of natural sweetness and alcohol so fortification was minimal. It has a rich ruby color and smooth texture. It is wonderful with the quintessential pairing of English Stilton cheese and walnuts or with a modern rich chocolate dessert. Small production.

Our solera-aged and fortified sherry style wine will be released soon. Only 8 cases bottled. It is similar to the Oloroso style with rich, almond, roasted hazelnut flavors. Very limited production.
